BGate 2005 - Facts & Figures

The third edition of BGate has concluded with an optimistic outlook. For the third time the concept of the exhibition of being strictly a business-to-business forum proved to work well. The exhibitors: 122 companies from Bulgaria, Turkey and Greece were content with being able to conduct business meetings with Bulgarian and foreign professionals from the textiles and clothing industry, buyers and retailers.

• Wovenwear

21 companies presented their latest collections including ladieswear, menswear and childrenswear. Among the exhibitors were well-known companies with a long lasting tradition in the garment manufacturing.

• Knitwear

28 companies represented the sector - T-shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, pullovers, underwear, sleepwear and swimwear.

• Textiles and fashion accessories

  42 companies exhibited a variety of yarns, woven, knitted and printed fabrics, artificial leather and hometextile as well as new high-quality fashion accessories.

• Services and technical equipment

  in this important part of the technological chain 31 companies offered equipment for the sewing industry, innovative software products and textile related services like dying, washing, printing, embroidering etc. Textile agencies, logistic companies, specialized publishers and relative NGO-s also had their representative booths at the exhibition.

BGate exhibitors 2005 compared to 2004

Professionals from 22 countries visited BGate 2005. In total 1114 visitors were registered among which foreign visitors from Greece, Germany, Turkey, Italy, UK, Spain, France, Denmark, Romania and others. The Bulgarian visitors were not only from Sofia and the main cities, but also from all over the country.

The exhibitors share the impressions that with the participation at BGate they have achieved their purpose of establishing their presence on the market, making new business contacts and tending to existing business relationships.

The exhibition showed that there is a rising number of Bulgarian companies marketing their own product and label and not only looking for CMT orders. Fashion shows were organized in which 12 companies: Markam, Etere, Ropotamo, Pangaea, Knitex, Polytex, Rila Style, Rosita, Kresna, Kadiffe presented their new collections for the next season.

The strong results and the positive domestic and international response gives a clear indication that BGate fulfills successfully it's concept of a modern textile forum with a constantly growing regional significance.

The next BGate - Balkan Gate Apparel and Textile Exhibition will be held
from 05 till 07 October 2006
at the Inter Expo Centre, Sofia.
